  • National Center for Family Literacy
    Created to help parents and children achieve their greatest potential together through quality literacy programs.
  • National Center for Learning Disabilities, Inc.
    This site provides information regarding readers with special needs. It provides teachers with resources about learning disabilities.
  • No Child Left Behind
    This section of the U.S. Department of Education's website provides information on the No Child Left Behind Act. The site provides numerous resources, including explanations of the legislation, guidance on teacher quality and report cards, a toolkit for teachers, and a parents guide. Visitors to the website can subscribe to The Achiever.
  • PBS Teacher Source
    This site offers a vast array of resources, including educational resources by curricular subject, topic, and grade level; tips on how to teach effectively with technology; convenient tools for teaching, such as recommended books, websites, interdisciplinary teaching suggestions, and more.
  • The Reading Corner
    This site offers book reviews for readers in grades 2–8.
  • Read To Feed
    Comprehensive site offering educational information and how to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Scholastic
    This site provides teachers with lesson plans, online activities, research tools, reading programs, software, and book clubs. It also provides teachers with professional resources, which include teaching with technology, classroom management, meeting special needs, and grants and funding. Reading programs include Literacy Place, Read 180, Solares, Reading Counts, and Wiggleworks.
  • Teachervision.com
    TeacherVision provides lesson plan links by curriculum areas and grade-level suitability. The site also provides educators with resources to help teachers create their own classroom website and What Works Powered by Teachers.
  • U.S. Department of Education
    This site provides information on national educational policies, programs, and trends of interest to students, teachers, parents, and policymakers. Topics include grants and contracts, financial aid, research and statistics, policy, and programs. Visitors can sign up for the ED newsletter.
