2023 Read To Bee

Read To Bee is open to all 6th-grade students in Rutherford County: Private schools, Rutherford County, and Murfreesboro City Schools. 6th-grade students must compete in their school spelling bees – then the winners advance to represent their school at this annual event. 

The 19th Annual Read To Bee was held on Friday, April 14th at 6pm at The Washington Theatre at Patterson Park Community Center – Murfreesboro. The Bee helps promote and encourage literacy education among the students in our community.

The 1st and 2nd place winners of the competition received a monetary prize, and the event was broadcasted on Murfreesboro CityTV3, FB Live, and the City TV YouTube Channel, in addition, to print media coverage.

2nd Place, Runner-Up: Libby Haynes from Providence Christian Academy
