Seussical Writing Contest

A one-time event to support the Center for the Arts production of Seussical! The Musical. Read To Succeed has many events to engage the community in literacy endeavors.

We encourage everyone to join us in our special events as well as to volunteer to help us with our programs.
Entries were judged on five criteria:

  1. How well students portrayed something about Rutherford County or its communities and/or landmarks.

  2. Creativity of approach

  3. Rhyme and rhythm

  4. Spelling/grammar

  5. Seussicality--how well the poem captured the spirit of a Dr. Seuss poem.

The entries were judged by representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, the Center for the Arts, and Barnes & Noble.
